No accommodation for Gluten Free: Deletion is not Accommodation. We made reservations and filled out the available form to notify Rooster & the Till of a gluten sensitivity or one of our guests. We received confirmation that they could accommodate the GF sensitivity. We went for the tasting experience, and the second dish included Fioe Ganache with an accompanying bread, our gluten free guest was simply told not to eat it, no substitution, no accommodation. The same was repeated for all the bread items; don't eat it. The total bill for 2 was $500. Gluten free bread and crackers subsititutes are easily obtainable at any grocery and those with allergies understand they might not get an optimized substitute, but when the "experience and service" are the major part of the offering, deletion is not expected or appropriate. If not for the lack of accommodation for GF, the food and wine pairings were excellent, the variety and quantity more than sufficient and would have been a great experience. We hope Rooster & the Till will better accommodate known and pre-known allergies in the future.

Wow wow and wow. I cannot say anything bad about my experience at rooster and the till. If it's been on your list this is your sign to book the reservation. This has to be one of my absolute favorite dining experiences.
We were seated at the kitchen bar which completely surrounds the kitchen so you can enjoy watching the chefs prepare your meal.
We started our evening with cocktails while hearing about the tasting menu experience and enjoying the A5 Hand Roll. I hands down think this is the best way to enjoy rooster and the till. From start to finish ever course was creative well though out and delicious. Before moving onto our dessert course we chose to add on the Cobia collar and the caviar bumps. These were most additions and would absolutely recommend.
The team is what makes this experience even more incredible. We had the pleasure of having Nicholas as our server who was amazing. He walked us through the courses and got to know us to really understand the experience we were looking for. The executive chef Martin was incredible. He took the time to come over and chat with us.
Rooster and the till is an experience everyone should enjoy!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 4, 2024
This one our first time at Rooster. We went for the Beta and B-sides event where they were trying out a new tasting menu.
Overall the experience was lovely and fantastic. I loved that it was a longer service (2.5-3 hours). The wine and drink pairings were strong and lovely even on their own, could've been perfect with an improvement or two. The food was fun but there were some misses and some clear winners.
A few places to improve: the Foie Gras. I know it's a unique dish but it was not palatable. Too many dishes to begin with had a highly acidic punch, a bit much even coming from someone who loves acid. The dishes weren't typically served individually either. It made the portions feel even smaller. Consistency between the dishes. Sometimes my partners was bigger or smaller than mine. Price to value ratio, anytime you're paying $145 for a meal it's always tough to find the value. But the overall experience could be slightly improved to make this ratio improve.
The wins that should continue: the wine and drink pairings. These were worth the extra bit of cash. The short rib. The best things I've eaten in a while. I was getting full near the end though. The duck. I could've eaten two or three of these. The service and the vibe. The length of service.
Would we go back? More than likelyHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 2, 2024
What an amazing surprise! First time here and found the food to be creative and delicious. The food is wonderful! the Frittelli "Caccio E Pepe" was one of the most creative preparations I have had. The Fois gras was nicely presented, as was the Tuna Crudo, both delicious. Then the Black Sesame Ice Cream with dried pineapple was also a show stopper. They have a limited but nice wine lists. Yes with wine it's not an inexpensive dinner, but the quality is excellent. The service is also very attentive and is very professional.
The only downside is the noisy/energetic enviroment. There is little in this restaurant to absorb some of the noise.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1962711789Apr 13, 2024Updated review3 check-ins

You'd never expect to find this gem if just driving by every day. Hidden behind the doors is a gorgeous restaurant with an intimate set up. We came to try the tasting but opted for happy hour at the bar. We had wonderful service and we got to try everything on the happy hour menu as well as all their available desserts. We loved being able to watch the kitchen at work and all the curated dishes that went out to other tables.
The gnocchis with braised short ribs was delicious and my favorite dish. Plenty of parking , easy reservations process (which required a credit card) but as long as you show up or give notice won't be charged. This was on a bookmarked list of places to try and we enjoyed our experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 4, 2024
We came here for a birthday celebration and decided to try the pre-fixed tasting menu of the month $135 per person. This menu was Latin inspired and absolutely delicious. I noticed the menu had a pork dish and the chefs were happily willing to substitute the pork with lamb since the dietary restriction was religious based. I was very pleased with how accommodating they were and didn't up-charge us for the meat substitution.
The portions were small but we were filled by the end of the course 5 given the quantity of courses (6 total courses). You will leave this restaurant feeling very satisfied. The servers explained the flavors and inspirations of each dish. The service was quick, our waitress was incredibly kind and the food was fantastic.
The restaurant was lively but not incredibly noisy. This is a great option for a date night or celebration. I highly recommend Rooster & the Till.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 1661112Feb 11, 2024
Finally made it out to Rooster & The Till in Tampa and it didn't disappoint!! Small plates with amazing flavor. From the outside, it's an unassuming spot in northern Tampa, but inside is one of the best restaurants in the area!
Fantastic ambiance, especially if you get seated at the chef's counter to see the open kitchen. Our server was prompt and super friendly.
We didn't do the tasting menu as we preferred the a la carte options, and were very happy with our choice. My husband and I split:
1.) Smoked potato pierogies with cabbage, carrot cream, fried artichokes, and brown butter (I am not a pierogi fan but this one converted me!)
2.) Braised pork cheeks over a corn pudding with smoked tomatoes (LOVED the corn pudding! Like a cousin to grits or risotto, sweet and savory, and very fluffy. The pork cheeks melted in your mouth.)
3.) Potato encrusted tile fish with bread & butter relish (This was my top choice and it didn't let me down--the crispy potato outside protected the soft, juicy, and flavorful fish inside.)
4.) Lamb tagliatelle vindaloo over a lemony yogurt and topped with spiced pistachios (A last-minute addition that stole the show. Perfectly cooked pasta, super tender--and spicy!!--lamb, and delicious--and spicy!!--pistachios. An incredible blend of flavors.)
We didn't have space for dessert even though it sounded good. My husband got two of the full bodied reds (unique offerings we haven't tried before) which we both enjoyed, and I stuck with the German pilsner (in a can and not draft, but they give you glass with it and it hit the spot).
We'll definitely be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 28, 2023
Absolutely amazing.
I have been wanting to hit this spot since I first moved to the area. Last night I was finally able to. I took a date here and it was perfect.
It is a bit loud inside, but our conversation slowed easily.
They have a seasonal cocktail menu, and they have some Mocktails even with quality spirits.
Our waiter was kind and fun. He helped us order several things to experience th menu. The show stopper was the zataar beef rib. Stunning dish.
The service was spot on. The place has good parking. The staff is nice.
Go here. It is worth it.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0 - Oct 23, 2023
Rooster & the Till have been in our date night bowl for a long time and we finally picked it this month. We we're so excited to go here and we're not disappointed. We made a reservation for 5:30 at the bar, where you can watch the chefs cook! I highly recommend doing that, it was so cool to watch our food be created in front of our eyes. The cooks are super experienced and very attentive to detail here. You can tell they're passionate about what they create.
For an appetizer, we started with their 'Cheese Duo'. It was two dishes together. The first plate was quince paste, marinate olives, almonds, cheese, and sourdough. The second plate was fried artichokes, braised grapes, and truffle honey topped with Raclette Fondue. OMG! It was so good. We loved everything about this plate. If you're a cheese lover, I highly recommend you order it. You can pick from a chef's menu with 6 courses or do a la carte. We decided to do a la carte!
For entrees, we tried two dishes. Our first dish was 'Potato Crusted Fish'. It was tile fish wrapped in crispy potato, paired with a relish, dill oil, finger lime, and Creme fraiche. It was so delicious, the potato added a nice crunch and the Creme fraiche paired perfectly with the relish on top. For our second dish, we tried their 'Gnocchi', this has been on the menu since they opened 10 years ago and I can see why! It was Parisian-style short ribs, house made ricotta, and pickled pepernota. The presentation isn't the most beautiful, but don't let that fool you. It was outstanding. I could eat this all day, especially on a cold day.
All the food was amazing and we were blown away. The staff was so friendly and very knowledgeable about everything. We will be back! This might be my second favorite restaurant in Tampa behind Haven. I'd love to try their Happy Hour! The menu changes all the time, so I can't wait to try something new next time. Maybe next time we'll try the chef's menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
