This is an amazing place to dine at! The couple that runs this restaurant is delightful and warm. I have never had better Thai Food and I am from New York. This is a local spot that not many people know about. Luckily my boyfriend had spotted this place and has been a loyal customer for 5 years. We come to this place all the way from Tampa and we think it is totally worth it!

This place has moved again but it's in the same plaza as it was before, just to the left of it so if you can't find it, keep looking.
We went on a Saturday night and noticed the new location was smaller but even so, there were not a lot of people but it took a long time to accommodate our small group of 4. Not only that but all of our food came out at different times and the last person did not get their meal until 10-15 minutes after everyone else received their food. This was a different experience than we had before with them and it was not a pleasant one. The one thing I will give them though is they probably have the best Tom Yum that I have ever had. Everything else was mediocre and I wish it was different. Hopefully that will change with time.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 27, 2017Previous reviewThis was a truly authentic Thai restaurant as the owner sat down next to us and explained that his wife does all the cooking. Food was delicious. I got the Drunken Noodles and I tell you, the portion was very generous. So generous that I was unable to finish it like the rest of the table. We also got papaya salad and tom yum which were great. Flavors were definitely there and it was a great experience overall.

Not that this is a bad place but I am confused by the 5 stars unless they are having a lot of family write them
In a strip mall, very very run down restaurant as if they don't even try. Very uncomfortable environment
Only 3 tables full in the whole place at lunch and yet they aren't aware of whether somebody took our order or not
The food came out quick but nobody came to see how it was after delivery
Many employees standing around not paying attention to customers to the point I had to get up and ask for the check
The food itself was pretty good but the chicken tasted like it wasn't cooked all the way and the edges of the crab Rangoon was hard and burnt. But the rest of the flavors were spot on
Although not any better than any other Thai place I have been
Prices were decent
With ambience, customer service and location being undesirable and the food not being any better than other places and sketchy in some regards I believe this was a one and done for meHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Randy T.Columbia, SC3986133May 21, 2018
This is my favorite Thai Place from Chef to owner to server it is phenomenal!
Parking is super easy as it is in a strip mall with tons of spaces.
The prices are great and the amount of food they give you ( I mostly get takeout) is a crazy amount!
Their pad Thai is perfectly seasoned, they have a spice level 1-10 and they do not mess around! I REPEAT!!! This is legit be careful! I got a 8 once and I eat super spicy food all the time but man! I was burning up!! Best Pad Thai ever!!
Also their Tom Kha Gai is the best I have ever had same spice levels apply
You will not regret eating here, you will hunt me down and thank me if you do!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 17, 2015
Legit Thai spot. I will have to return and try a few other things before I can up my rating, but so far so yum! Surprisingly, this place has not been that busy the few times we have been. Which is great since we never have to wait long for service/food! The owner is very personable and funny.
I've tried the drunken noodles, phad thai, and curry pineapple fried rice. I love a good noodle and it's really good here. The phad thai is not overly sweet and has just the right mixture of sweet, salty and tangy. The noodles are soft and chewy- just perfect! And portion size is ridiculous! Can easily feed 2-3 people. I would recommend ordering one phad thai and then other dishes to share as each dish here is so large. The drunken noodles are basil-y, spicy goodness. Definitely recommend. Curry pineapple fried rice was ok. Again- huge portion! I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day.
Service is great! I love how the owner interacts with his guests. The lady that was there the other night we came was lovely as well. Will have to come back, I need to try the curry and larb.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 19, 2016
Simply great Thai Food. The absolute best cashew nut chicken that I have ever had and I have been Thailand 3 times. The Pad Thai is equally delicious. Louie the owner is very gracious and will ensure that you will have the perfect meal.
I drove up from St Pete passing other Thai Restaurants but it is well worth it. I will be back again and again!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle S.Saint Petersburg, FL1026139Feb 18, 2017
First time here, came at 5:30pm on a Friday with my dad who was visiting and has never had Thai food before.
Plenty of free parking in a lot right in front of the restaurant which is nice & convenient.
When we walked in we almost walked back out. There was just a huge empty room in front of us and to the left were some tables & booths, all empty. We weren't greeted by anyone but there was a man sitting at a booth doing something on his phone who looked up. I asked him if we are supposed to seat ourselves, he said yes. I'm assuming he was the owner.
Once seated our server came to us right away. Dad asked for unsweetened iced tea, they were out, we both got Thai iced tea which was what I wanted anyway. Dad loved his, mine was very watery with almost no flavor, very disappointing.
They sent out complimentary small salads before your food. Iceberg lettuce, tomato chunk, and a cucumber slice topped with a peanut sauce, it was delicious. We ordered 2 appetizers, the calamari fries and Thai spring rolls. They came out quickly and staggered. You get 4 long, thin spring rolls piping hot (not spicy) with a dipping sauce, they were alright. The calamari was different than I've ever had, not the rings and tentacles but large chunks and very crispy, with the same dipping sauce. I liked them, not greasy like some places and the meat was very tender, not chewy at all.
Dad and I both got Pad Thai, I chose shrimp, he chose beef. Definitely should have ordered 1 and some other dish because the portion is huge. I'll probably have 2 more meals from just mine alone. I thought it was ok but it sounds like I'm more used to "Americanized" Thai after reading everyone else's reviews who say it's very authentic. I wasn't overly impressed and didn't find myself wanting more as I do at some places even when I'm stuffed.
We had to wait quite a while to get our check, not sure if she thought we were still eating and didn't want to interrupt or something. Other than the end and beginning the service was great, she was helpful and smiling the whole time.
I probably won't come back on my own but if someone invited me to go I wouldn't talk them out of it.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 22, 2014
I'd been wanting to try this Thai place for the longest time because it is so close to home. My fiancé and I decided to venture here after a long day and arrived just before 8 PM on a Sunday evening. The place was dead aside from a family of six.
The owner, Louie, was very welcoming and personable. He made it feel like more of a visit to someone's home than a trip to a restaurant.
We started with a beer and a Thai iced coffee. I noticed he was pouring the coffee from a bottle so I'm not sure if it was store bought/pre-mixed or homemade. Aside from that, the coffee was delicious and I believe I am still feeling the effects as I compose this review.
Louie then brought is a crab Rangoon appetizer which I was not expecting. Although the dish was good, one of the reasons I knocked a star off this Reid's is because it want hot. It tasted as if it was made and they forgot to bring it to the table right away.
My fiancé got one of their stir fry dishes with cashews and enjoyed it. The portions were huge; easily 2-3 meals from one dish. I got the shrimp pad thai which was to die for and also huge portions. The dishes were fresh and on point in terms of flavor. I was stuffed less than halfway through the meal.
The place seems sketchy because it's in a fairly dead strip mall, but don't let that fool you. This place is fairly priced, authentic, and you feel at home when you're here. I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes in the future.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alexis J.Tallahassee, FL6981118Feb 1, 2017
As an avid yelper, I did my research before settling on this little gem when looking for my new go-to Thai place, and I was absolutely rewarded for my efforts. What this place lacks in decor and ambiance, it completely makes up for with great quality.
We were pleasantly surprised by our free mini salad cups, and were so in love with how the delicious peanut satay sauce changed otherwise cold boring iceburg mix into a truly awesome pre-appetizer...never thought I'd be sad when I ran out of lettuce!
We ordered the chicken satay, springrolls, and Tom Kha soup as appetizers and they were SO GOOD! The soup in particular was excellent...I had a bit of a cold and the hot, creamy, limey, spicy broth was basically a god send.
For dinner we both got the Panang chicken curry which was supremely tasty, but not as spicy as we were hoping...I got a level four and my date got a level five so, as people who love spicy food, we were hoping to really feel the burn. As I said, it was exactly what we wanted from Panang, it just didn't quite hit the level of heat we wanted...next time we'll be really emphatic about our spice levels!
The only thing that was missing was the Thai tea. I LOVE it but as we went later in the evening, they had understandably run out. Oh well, just another reason to go back ;)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie D.Clearwater, FL13011Nov 2, 2018
The best authentic Thai food. great prices. We are regulars and bring our guests from out of town. I was so sad when they moved across the plaza because I thought they were closed. Delicious food for carry out or dine in. The Panang curry is
