We got here at about 7 pm, the restaurant was nearly completely empty except for 1 other table who already had their food. You can sit wherever you'd like and everything was very casual. The service was great, very quick and checking on us to make sure we had everything. The thing I was concerned about was the giant cobwebs hanging around the restaurant. Made it seem a little run down, and I hoped the kitchen wasn't full of cobwebs as well.

I got the sausage penne (but opted for linguine.) The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sausage was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the sauce as well. The other person at the table got a stromboli with spinach and cheese. The crust was aah-mazing! The spinach was very fresh and it was stuffed full, making it a very filling meal. It was a little greasy, but probably as much as you'd expect from a stromboli with lots of cheese and pepperoni.

Tried to redeem a coupon though and the cashier wasnt sure how to do it. All in all it was reasonably priced. Definitely will be back.

Sausage penne (but I opted for linguine.) Very delicious, pasta was perfect, sausage was really good.

These are the type of owners you wish every restaurant had. They REALLY care about the quality of the food. I met 3 of the 4 owners and each brought a caring & friendly vibe to the place.

It isn't a fancy place. It isn't fancy food. It's common food made with uncommon quality and preparation.

From the "made on premises" breads, to the non GMO meats, these people work hard to produce meals that rival the quality of expensive, big name restaurants.

I was told that the pork in my (outstanding) pulled pork sandwich cooks for up to 10 hours. They make virtually everything themselves. The potato skins had 2 or 3 separate layers of different cheeses. The bacon was piled high. As you can tell, I didn't go there for Chateaubriand. I went there for a typical lunch. What I got was an OUTSTANDING food experience.

I can't wait to go back and try many other things on the menu including the "specials". Truly 5 Stars.

Delicious food in an unassuming environment. Total hole in the wall but don't be fooled by the location. The food was creative and made with love and by an experienced chef. (I know..we met him and his wife!)
Don't miss the Brussel Sprout's sprinkled with parmesan, Mussels with sausage in a rich tomato broth or the classic Pulled Pork sandwich (11 hour cook) topped with house made cole slaw.
2015 is my year to try out as many 'dive' restaurants as I can. I'm SO glad I started with this one!!

      Nice selection of craft beer!

This place was very slow was not clean
And we had to wait an hour and a half
When they gave us the food it did not look appealing and gave the wrong order.
I would not recommend you to go
Their. They need to buy aprons instead of wiping their hands on their dirty pants

We stopped here while running errands after looking on Yelp for a dinner place. It's in a very unassuming strip center. But the food was good. Beer and wine was affordable. We had the fried garlic dough bites. They were like mini garlic knots. We both got calzones. They were excellent and giant. We easily could have split one but we each ended taking a half of each home. We didn't ask about any desserts since after that full meal of carbs we didn't have any more room.

$1 Beer, and it wasn't even happy hour - this a regular price on their menu. This alone deserves 5 stars. Who does this? 4 Hounds Grill does, that's who.

Being from out of town and not knowing the area we did a quick yelp search after going to the movies. Based on the name my husband being the dog lover that he is choose this place. It also has 4 dogs in the logo - you can't go wrong with that.

We pulled into the parking lot and it is very unassuming store front in the strip mall. We walked and were warmly greeted by the waitress/bartender behind the bar. We were told we could sit anywhere we wanted. We picked table and we promptly brought menus and silverware.

They have a nice sized menu and after pursuing for a few minutes decided on the large Big Daddy pizza without broccoli. We thought broccoli might be a bit too healthy for a vacation pizza (lol). When the pizza came out it was huge, when they say large they mean it. We figured we could always have leftovers. Everything about the pizza was delicious. Nice crispy bottom, charred crust, and fresh ingredients.

The menu includes soups, salads, sandwich/wraps, pastas, burgers, and dinner choices (such as meatloaf, chicken piccata, fish and chips and fried chicken. The prices are very reasonable.

And did I mention $1 beer.

If you find yourself in Bradenton do yourself a favor and stop in, have a beer and meal. You won't be sorry.

Picky foodie says to eat here!
Don't let the sign and location turn you off. Food from scratch, good salads and sandwiches. Definitely try.

Love 4 Hounds! Everyone is so friendly here that after my first visit I felt like a regular. I personally would be a bit suspect if I saw me coming through the door but they made me feel at home here.
The food is very good, all fresh and not that frozen crap we've come to expect in a lot of restaurants. All natural ingredients, but not in that dirty hippy sense. More in the way you'd do it at home if you weren't lazy.
They have a revolving selection of good local craft beers. With so many great breweries in the area it's nice to see locally sourced beers.
What's left? It's very clean, should mention that. Anything I leave out? Love this place!

This place was packed. Wait time for food more than one hour. No one working with the food were wearing hair nets or aprons. Cook was seen wiping his hands on his pants. Order came out wrong sent the food back and left. Very disappointed!
